In my front yard, Barry affixed hinges onto a hefty gate through welding. However, the initial welds did not provide sufficient penetration to create a secure weld. Consequently, when strong winds arrived, the top hinge welds broke and led to the gate collapsing. However, Barry resolved to prevent the welds from being the weak spot in the future.
