About
Greetings fellow musicians and new friends!My name is Ceci, and I am a violin teacher born and raised in Oakland. I hold a Masters in Violin Performance from the Chicago College of Performing Arts, and have been teaching and performing locally for many years. Please note that I do not offer in-home lessons, but instead teach out of my private studio in East Oakland.
I strongly believe that music is an excellent tool for individuals to express themselves and find fulfillment during these challenging times. Having worked with a wide range of students from varying backgrounds and age groups, I fully understand that everyone learns differently. Therefore, I always create a unique curriculum that will best suit the individual's needs, allowing them to enhance their creativity, develop discipline, and better understand the world through music.
Currently, I am offering both in-person and virtual lessons to students of all ages and levels. I have been fully vaccinated for your peace of mind. Whether you are a beginner looking to start from scratch or an intermediate/advanced violinist seeking to hone your skills, I encourage you to reach out to me via email or phone at your convenience. Rates:
- 30-minute class: $45 (recommended for young beginners)
- 45-minute class: $60 (recommended for intermediate level)
- 1-hour class: $80 (recommended for intermediate/advanced level)

It's with great disappointment that my daughter and I express our feelings as we were unable to continue lessons with Ceci, despite the fact that we realized how amazing of an instructor she is after just one session. The distance was a major hindrance for us, and we wish we could continue working with Ceci who brought so much energy and fun to my seven-year-old daughter's lesson.

Ms. Ceci is highly proficient in enhancing intonation and technique. She is always an excellent conversationalist, keen on discussing life events at the commencement and culmination of each lesson. :D

My 10-year-old niece thoroughly enjoys her violin lessons with Ceci, who is a skilled and patient teacher. Surprisingly, my niece prefers Ceci's lessons over even her own mother's, who also plays the violin.
