About
Starting March 2023, I will be relocating to Gilbert, AZ to continue sharing my passion for teaching string instruments to both children and adults. For those who prefer virtual lessons, I also offer online instructions.

My qualifications include a B.S. in Music Education K12 from Lebanon Valley College in Pennsylvania and an M.S. in Educational Development and Strategies from Wilkes University in Pennsylvania. While I value performing, teaching remains my primary expertise and experience. I have taught in public schools in two states over the past decade and have also provided private instruction for the past 13 years.

Personally, I have been playing the cello for 24 years, with experiences like participating in symphonies, recording and touring with a Baltimore band, performing for weddings, and playing cover songs in public venues. I appreciate the cello's versatility and love to share my expertise while working with students of all ages and from all walks of life.

My mission is to help students achieve their musical goals in a comfortable and enjoyable way. I hold a personal interest in fostering a love for cello music and providing a tailor-fit learning experience unique to each student.

Don't hesitate to contact me. Let's make music together!

L Young Studio has provided my son with a fantastic experience! He eagerly anticipates each session and thoroughly enjoys them. L Young consistently arrives on time and offers affordable rates. Her reminders via text and email for scheduled lessons are appreciated, and payments can easily be made through the link she provides on the invoice. Communication is excellent; anytime I have questions, I receive prompt responses. I highly recommend L Young Studios to other parents or anyone passionate about the cello.

Lisa is a fantastic instructor who has been consistently friendly, warm, and caring in all of our sessions. She never fails to provide encouragement and support, making you feel valued and confident. Lisa's ability to adapt to your pace and make lessons enjoyable is unparalleled. As someone who started learning the cello in my thirties, I couldn't be more satisfied. For those seeking a comfortable and progressive learning experience, Lisa is the instructor for you. You won't be disappointed.

Starting my cello journey has been an amazing experience. Despite the difficulties posed by the virtual lesson environment, my instructor has been ingenious in her communication techniques and adept in utilizing technology to benefit her pupils. I am extremely thankful to have her as my teacher, and I strongly recommend her services.

Lisa has been my cello teacher for six weeks now and I've gained a lot from her teachings. Initially apprehensive about virtual lessons, I now sincerely relish them. Lisa's considerate, encouraging, and expert criticism is well-timed. I'm eager to continue my cello studies with her.
