About
Throughout my adult life, I have had the opportunity to share my passion for music with students of all ages, both in the private sector and at independent schools. As a full-time music teacher, I find great fulfillment in observing my students grow and excel over many years of instruction. Witnessing the joy that comes from a skillfully played instrument or beautifully sung song performed by a dedicated and enthusiastic student is truly inspiring. Furthermore, it brings me great satisfaction to see shy or hesitant young performers gain confidence and find success under my mentorship, including earning roles in musicals they may have otherwise overlooked. Similarly, teaching older adults who are eager to rediscover their love for music is a unique and fulfilling experience. Word-of-mouth referrals from past students are the most valuable recommendation and evidence of my success.Relocating to Austin, Texas to embrace my new role as a grandmother, I am excited to join such a thriving music community. I am confident that I will be able to contribute my valuable knowledge and experience as a passionate and dedicated teacher. Debbie is teaching piano lessons to my extremely energetic 5-year-old son for the first time. She has proved to be an exceptional teacher, making the lessons enjoyable for him while also ensuring that he stays focused on the task at hand. She engages him in games and even allows him to stand up and play an active game in case he becomes too restless.
