Reflecting on my musical experience from childhood, I must credit Dianne as a pivotal figure who altered my cello aspirations. Her exceptional knowledge of Western art music and proficiency in producing exquisite sounds form the foundation of her teachings. She gently mentors her students through the use of artistic metaphors and advice. Nonetheless, what truly makes Dianne an exceptional music tutor is her expertise in non-classical music, especially improvisation, composition, and avant-garde rhythms. Her work with the Flanco Fusion continually amazes me, and I am immensely grateful for her otherworldly experience as a teacher. What I particularly appreciate about our lessons is the degree of autonomy she grants her students. We get to explore our interests while still receiving exceptional support and guidance. My interest in composition did not go unnoticed, as Dianne provided endless support and motivation for my creations.
