I am Chef Shay, born with a passion for cooking and event planning. Although I have recently started using CrackerJack (stay tuned for my reviews and pictures), my professional cooking journey began almost two decades ago. I have had the pleasure of gracing the kitchens of famous catering companies in Denver such as Epicurean, Occasions, and 451 Events/Catering by Design. I left these renowned institutions to offer the same excellent services to everyone at affordable prices. Through catering, I have honed my skills in cooking different cuisines, and my extensive background in baking, certified bartending, event planning, and cafe ownership has given me in-depth knowledge of every aspect of kitchen and front-of-house staff duties. With my experience, I understand the inevitable last-minute needs that arise, and whether you need one dish or an entire party, I can cater to any occasion, style, or theme. For each client, I personalize every detail to fit their unique needs, including customized plates for guests with special dietary needs or allergies. I am a perfectionist, enjoy planning, and have a knack for style. My ultimate goal is your satisfaction, and I am not content until you are.

Chef Shay truly lifted a heavy burden off my shoulders. I had been struggling to find an affordable caterer for a 45th reunion, and she made the process a breeze. Despite our strict budget, Shay delivered exceptional food that surpassed our expectations. Her knack for problem-solving was invaluable as the venue presented numerous challenges, including the lack of a kitchen on-site. Shay ingeniously transformed a storage closet and a small portion of the bar into functional cooking areas. Although dinner was delayed slightly due to a few unforeseen setbacks such as a late assistant and incorrect catering supplies, Shay made sure to make up for it in every possible way. She was fair and professional in compensating us for any inconsistencies. Despite these minor setbacks, the night was still a resounding success. We were able to wrap up and clear out the venue with time to spare, thanks to Shay's excellent organization skills. I would undoubtedly work with Chef Shay again in the future and highly recommend her services to others. While Thumbtack only allowed me to highlight three of her positive qualities, I would have selected all five without any hesitation.

Finding Shay was a stroke of luck. She served as bartender at our wedding reception, which was attended by approximately 80 individuals. Her performance was commendable! She was extremely supportive and promptly addressed all of my planning inquiries. In addition, she devised personalized "his" and "her" cocktails for the occasion.
