Roman’s Bass & Theory Lessons

I am Roman Gastelum, a music instructor who specializes in teaching bass guitar (electric and double) and music theory. I am currently accepting students who are committed and passionate about learning. I am also offering spring discount offers, message me for more information. Fees may apply when I travel to my student's location and are based on the travel distance.

A Bit About Me:

I am an acoustic and electric bassist, vocalist, lyricist, and composer based in Los Angeles, CA. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Music Performance from the Musicians Institute in Los Angeles. My musical influences span various genres, including jazz, hip-hop, funk, soul, country, classical, alternative, indie, rock, and pop music. Today, I am active in the Los Angeles music scene, recording and performing live on stage. I am also a dedicated private lesson instructor, reflective lyricist, and artistic and commercial composer. I am the bassist, vocalist, and lyricist of Jigsaw Falling, an eclectic progressive rock project.

Recently, I released two new singles titled "Illusory Truth" and "Pavlov's Dogs," which are available to stream on all digital platforms. The singles were composed and arranged entirely by me, with other talented musicians from the Los Angeles scene accompanying me. The music's inspiration and style are a perfect combination of my deep love for both jazz and hip-hop, incorporating influences from the UK and other modern styles. These singles are also available in a 7" vinyl record format.
