Greetings! I offer cello instruction in my backyard located in close proximity to downtown San Diego, CA, as well as online. With ample experience in catering to diverse learner levels, including those with special requirements, I am zealously committed to fostering student engagement and motivation through the art of cello playing. My ultimate objective is to help you harness the therapeutic benefits of music.I hold a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the University of Southern California, with a minor in Music Education, and a Master of Music in cello performance from Yale University.

Our 13-year-old son, Tom, had the good fortune of learning the cello under the tutelage of Dr. Cho during our stay in San Diego. As a cello instructor, Anna is exceptional. She displays great flexibility in scheduling classes week to week while staying attentive to detail. We take a considerable amount of time before progressing to the next piece, placing emphasis on refining bowing technique, intonation, and musicality. Though Anna gives commendations when deserved, she sets a high standard for her students, pushing them to come prepared in order to maximize their lesson experience. Over time, we continue to see significant improvement under her guidance.
