The Chess lessons provided by Gus proved to be quite beneficial for my daughter. Gus's impressive knowledge of the subject and his simplistic approach towards teaching allowed my daughter to easily grasp the concepts. The best part was that he didn't monologue throughout the class, which often bores children. Rather, he engaged my daughter by consistently prompting her to explain the reasoning behind her moves, which in turn stimulated her critical thinking abilities.

Last year, Gus provided chess lessons to my trio of kids, comprising an experienced child and two novices, via Zoom owing to our location in St. Louis. Gus was a reliable and professional teacher who offered each child individualized attention and age-appropriate homework. Their chess skills showed considerable progress as a result of his expert guidance. My eldest son, who had some prior chess experience, is now considering trying out for his high school chess team.
