About
Recently, I relocated to California. I am a full-time teaching artist and violinist trained at Juilliard. In Chicago, I served as a faculty member for violin and chamber music at the Juilliard-Nord Anglia Programme as well as the Chicago Youth Symphony Orchestra. Additionally, I've taught undergraduate students at Northwestern University. My former private students were top prizewinners at regional competitions and Illinois Music Education Association auditions. My education includes:

Dr. Choi has been my teacher for close to five years, and it has been an outstanding experience. Yoorhi's teaching methods are exceptional; she relentlessly finds new ways to clarify concepts until you master the technique. Although mastering the violin can be challenging, with Dr. Choi's guidance, the journey is invigorating. Dr. Choi is not only a remarkable violinist but also an exceptional teacher, which is quite rare in my experience with musicians. Her unwavering attention and positive energy is truly admirable. Her guidance is always incredibly precise and comprehensible, and she has helped me not only enhance my technique but also refine my musicality. Even though her lessons are challenging, I relish each opportunity to grow. She also organizes student recitals, providing an incredible opportunity to perform with accompanying piano. I highly suggest enrolling in Dr. Choi's lessons.
