The worker began the job two days late and failed to inform me that he wouldn't be coming until the day of at 8:15am which was unprofessional. Upon arrival, he attempted to move a wire in the wall and hide the junction box, which is not up to code. I had to call an electrician to rectify the situation. Later, the worker left the job site with only one person left to do the sheetrock work. Although they did a good job, we were supposed to have had the tub installation, hardie board up, and red guard done on the first day. Due to the worker leaving, not much was accomplished. When I inquired about the alcove tub, the worker gave incorrect information, stating that the hardie board should go before the tub; however, the hardie board should be placed over the lip of the tub and tiled to it. When the worker returned after a four-hour absence, he had forgotten his chipper, so the tub and shower pan installation did not take place. I called a plumber who had previously installed the rough-in valves to install the tub correctly. He stated that the shower pan membrane should go behind the hardie board. I asked the worker to return at 11:30am once the plumber had finished. When he arrived, the plumber informed him that the hardie board had been installed incorrectly, explaining how to fix it the correct way. The worker then left the job site and returned my first and only check. Although he displayed excellent business ethics by returning my check, his skill set was inadequate, and I would rate him only one star in that regard. Overall, the experience was a waste of time, and although we did not lose any money, the project is now behind schedule. This serves as a warning to buyers that giving a worker an excellent rating does not necessarily mean that they will complete the job correctly, and it's critical to monitor how the work is being done.

I chose to convert my bathroom into a shower and Handy Duke was the professional and knowledgeable handyman who helped me. He was patient in explaining the entire procedure and even assisted in designing the new look. I was thoroughly impressed with the final product and would highly recommend Handy Duke for any bathroom renovation needs.

He is an incredible worker, knowledgeable in his craft. Undoubtedly the finest in the field.
