Expert Excel, Access, SQL, and VBA

My academic background includes a BSc. degree in Industrial Engineering, as well as two MSc. Degrees in Industrial Technology and Industrial& Systems Engineering. Over the course of nine years, I have dedicated myself to both studying and conducting research. During my time at Texas State University, I actively researched the development of complex algorithms for Rapid Manufacturing Process with VBA within Autodesk Inventor. This research resulted in the publication of 12 International Papers and 3 book chapters at notable journals.

Prior to pursuing higher education, from 2000 to 2005, I occupied Industrial and Process Improvement Engineer positions in detergent and automaker industries. During this time, I made extensive use of Excel, Access, Visio, VBA, and SQL coding for the improvement of several processes. I also indulged in computer programming, teaching myself VBA, Visual Basic, Turbo Pascal 7, C#, and other notable languages. This combination of engineering and computer skills enabled me to succeed as an analyst and engineer in the workplace, effectively overcoming complex problems.

Throughout my professional career, I have designed several databases such as Inventory Control, Production planning and Control, Costing tools, Material Movement and Exception, NAAB accreditation process, etc. using VBA, SQL coding in both Access and Excel. For Harley-Davidson, as an Exception Analyst, I automated several reports on material movement processes in SAP using VBA and SQL coding in Access, Excel, and Outlook. This resulted in significantly reduced man-hours, increased efficiency, and accuracy of reports.

Currently, I work for Hallmark as a Production Planning Analyst, where I have developed several custom applications for both production and our department. I regularly make use of SQL and VBA to automatically pull data from SAP and populate various back-end databases that feed the front-end program I designed in Access and Excel, used by over 50 remote users.

Given my knowledge and professional experiences, I would love to tutor and share my expertise with both college/graduate students and experienced individuals looking to improve their skills. I specialize in a "Learning by Doing" teaching style, which emphasizes applying practical knowledge during the learning process.
