Romero Voice Studio

Hi there, I am a Charlotte, NC-based opera singer and teacher. My main aim is to help my students develop a solid vocal technique that can free their natural voice to sing healthily and proficiently across all genres. Though learning to sing properly is a lifelong process, my students often notice visible improvement within weeks of starting lessons.

I am a passionate singer myself, and I believe that a tailor-made approach to teaching is fundamental. To help my students reach new heights, I focus on body alignment practices derived from yoga and enhancing the natural production of the vocal mechanism.

In my studio, I work with students of all levels, ranging from beginners to young professionals seeking to establish careers as solo performers. Together, we will work on breaking down negative habits and unhealthy tension in your voice. Regardless of your genre preferences, whether classical, rock, musical theatre or pop, I will provide the tools necessary to master them all.

My lesson plans comprise a mix of customized vocal exercises, fundamentals (including breath energy and resonance), vocal register and range flexibility, musicianship training (pitch accuracy and melodic phrasing), music theory, diction (French, German, Italian, Spanish), audition coaching, stage performance techniques, and character development.
