About
With over eight years of photography experience, I gained most of my knowledge while living and working in Asia. My focus was on documentary and street photography, and I spent three years as a fashion photographer in South Korea, working with models and influencers. Although I have experience using studio FOMEX lighting and equipment, I've found that natural light photography provides the most authentic moments my clients desire.My aim is to provide laid-back photo sessions that capture my client's authenticity and realness. While maintaining a supportive, informative, and encouraging relationship with my clients, I guide them every step of the way. Whether it's the initial contact or the final delivery, I offer my support, making sure your best angles and emotions tell your unique story.
For those getting married, I offer free engagement sessions with all my wedding packages to help us become familiar with each other before your big day. At your wedding, I will coordinate, calm your nerves, photograph you, and capture every moment of your day of love.
I am primarily located in Acadia National Park, Bar Harbor, Portland, Cape Elizabeth, and surrounding areas in Maine. I have plenty of location recommendations if you are unsure of where to shoot and ensure that we find the perfect spot for you.

Janelle was hired to capture photographs of my proposal and take engagement photos afterwards. Throughout the entire process, Janelle was exceptional. In addition to taking breathtaking photos, she assisted me in selecting a location for the proposal and guided me through the steps to arrive as I was unfamiliar with the area.
Despite a snowstorm causing a delay in the original plan, Janelle remained in constant communication with me and promptly devised an alternate plan for the following day. Her dedication truly exceeded expectations, and I couldn't recommend her enough. Janelle provided excellent service and breathtaking photography! I engaged her for a 30-minute session to document my proposal to my fiancé at a park in Maine. Needless to say, planning and executing the proposal was quite stressful for me, but Janelle helped make it a smooth and perfect experience. I found her on CrackerJack and we exchanged prompt messages about her packages, location recommendations, and any questions I had. She even called me a week before the proposal to coordinate and kept me updated via text on the day of the event. Janelle provided detailed directions (including a hand-drawn map!) on where she would be, what she was wearing, and when she was set up. The result was a stunning collection of photographs that perfectly captured the special moment and the beautiful backdrop of the ocean and sunset. Janelle's edits were exactly what we wanted - clear and crisp, emphasizing the nautical vibe of the location. We loved the photos so much that we decided not to have a post-proposal engagement shoot.
