About
Mahrou has had a natural aptitude for the camera from a young age. Without any formal training, she learned how to use her first film camera by trial and error. Unknowingly, this was a blessing in disguise as it allowed her to develop a unique photographic perspective. The darkroom became a place of magic and exploration for her, where even unintended effects of film creation were beautiful to her discerning eye. In tandem with graphic design studies, she ventured into digital photography and editing, which opened new opportunities for her. Combining her formal education with her hands-on experience, Mahrou found her true passion in black and white photography, which allows for more emotional expression. In 2012, she graduated with a B.F.A in graphic design, and life presented further opportunities in photography. She has honed her skills in various areas such as commercial photography, corporate events, concerts, sports, family portraits, and more.Profile isn't claimed yet

On my first trip to downtown Chicago this month, I had limited time to do a photo shoot. In a last-minute request, Mahrou accommodated me and scheduled the shoot for the following day despite her busy schedule. I could tell that Mahrou values her clients through her professionalism and thoughtfulness during the shoot.
Mahrou was patient, attentive and willing to go above and beyond to make sure that I was satisfied. I felt comfortable in her presence thanks to her direction and keen eye for detail. The resulting photos were exceptional, and I am very happy with the outcome. Mahrou is an excellent photographer that I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a skilled and dedicated professional in downtown Chicago. I am looking forward to working with her again soon as she is truly a talented photographer.

Towards the end of January, I inquired about scheduling a photoshoot to commemorate my 30th birthday. My goal was to have a keepsake that I could cherish in the coming years. Mahrou was my first choice and upon contacting her, I was confident that she could fulfill my dream, which she did. I was thoroughly impressed with the outcome of the photoshoot and appreciated her professionalism. Additionally, she was accommodating, allowing me to bring along two friends.

At the last minute, we contacted Mahrou to be the photographer for our grand event, the Lyric Opera's season premiere. She was prompt in her responses, cooperative and kept us in the loop throughout. Mahrou put all her efforts to deliver what we expected. Highly satisfied with her work, we booked her again for our family's Christmas Card photoshoot, which went splendidly!
