I also asked them to assist me in retrieving some items from my storage unit, but they declined, claiming it would be too expensive. My mother even noticed that they were idle at times during the move. It took them six hours to complete the job, whereas my mother and I had completed a similar amount of work in three hours. They were also late to begin, and one of the movers was preoccupied with a personal phone call for an extended period. I am left with the task of organizing my garage and transporting my belongings upstairs. The company offered a solution, but I was dissatisfied with it and did not want to bring the movers back. To ensure that future movers are more efficient, I realize that I need to be more assertive and remind them of the time constraints and the importance of verifying where specific items should go.
