"Although I was initially eager to write a favorable review for this man, my experience with him was far from positive. His insistence on full payment upfront should have been a warning sign, but relyi... read moreng on the positive reviews on the website, I went ahead and paid him. Regrettably, he was not familiar with basic building codes, as evidenced by his failure to comply with requirements for hallway width and outlet placement. I had to ask him to redo faulty work, only to receive a subpar result out of spite. Initially, he constructed an illegal wall that was just 30 inches wide (as can be seen from the 2x4 on the ceiling in the first picture), which he replaced with a crooked wall that left the hallway between 4 and 4.5 feet wide. I requested that he rebuild the flawed wall, but even the third attempt was slightly skewed. However, to avoid further poorly executed repairs, I opted to accept it. He attributed the substandard quality of his work to foundation issues, even though I had hired him to fix those problems by erecting posts before trying to build a wall. Although he had promised to remove the carpeting to build the wall, he built it directly over it, meaning I now need to find a way to remove the carpeting without damaging the wall. He was proficient at replacing the drywall beneath my leaking roof, for which I'd hired him, but he failed to actually repair the roof, indicating that it will inevitably require replacing. He also cut off half of my electricity, having spliced new outlets into an existing one, necessitating additional repairs. Despite initially claiming to have had flat tires, he has since refused to finish the job and has not returned my calls or messages. These glowing reviews on the website must be from his acquaintances, as I don't recommend hiring someone who makes communication difficult and ignores your requests. read less"
