Prior to the event, I had specified certain artists and genres to fit my specific crowd, but my requests were not honored. Even my twins' attempts to request songs were unsuccessful. In order to get the party going, I had to request certain songs twice. Considering the price I paid, almost $1000, I expected to have the music I had requested. I had even prepared a four-hour playlist beforehand but decided to hire a DJ instead. Unfortunately, the DJ I chose simply talked on the mic, danced to their preferred music, and played songs on their MacBook. I had used another DJ before who offered a similar experience and charged only $300, but I chose to pay more for a better experience. This DJ may be suitable for corporate parties, but not for events with a black or Caribbean theme. I truly miss the days of real DJs. read less"
