On the first day, he identified the sagging issue that occurred when the decking became hot and explained in detail how he intended to correct it. He planned to lift the decking and install joists every 16" on both decks. Monterrozo Construction mistakenly failed to install this joist system. They lied that I did not want to have it done, though I had authorized and paid for it to be implemented on one of the decks. Scott replaced the untreated Douglas Fir support beams with pressure-treated wood, which was what my contract with Monterrozo had requested. Scott exposed bare untreated wood that was merely covered with a coat of stain by Monterrozo on the sides after laying down the decking. Scott also addressed several other issues caused by Monterrozo without charging me any extra funds. He worked with a partner and was accessible to answer my queries and concerns every day. I strongly recommend Custom Creations to everyone, and I regret not hiring them in the initial instance. Monterrozo's work should be avoided. read less"
