"My 40-year-old house has required and still requires a lot of maintenance. This winter, I hired several companies, including a roof co, mold co, chimney repair co, drywall co, trim co, new window co, ... read moreand plumber. Over the last 3 months, I had at least 12 estimates and ultimately hired ten contractors. Unfortunately, some contractors were subpar, whereas a few were average to good. Luckily, only two were excellent. I did extensive research on each contractor before hiring them, including checking their reviews, but it was still hit or miss in terms of how they turned out. Painting contractors I found on Yelp often quoted an exorbitant price without even viewing my house beforehand, and I'm in the unusual position of having to wait a year and a half before I can get it painted. This was due to inheriting the property at that point. Most painting companies I approached didn't want to do any small-scale work, such as seal the large stucco cracks or replace two exterior window trims. The heavy storms that battered the south side of my house resulted in severe cracking and damage, which needed sealing. Unlike other companies that only wanted to quote for a full exterior paint job or nothing at all, Rodrigo and his team at RR Pro Ptg provided a timely response and quote. They are at the top of my list of the best contractors I've worked with in the last three months. Dealing with contractors, I found it challenging dealing with a trim co I found on CrackerJack, who completely butchered the exterior window trim replacement. They used the wrong wood, cut it too short, didn't prime or seal it enough or properly, and there was yellow gap foam used to seal around the outside of the trim. They ran out of the correct sealant. The result was that the trims looked sloppy and worse than the original trims. Rodrigo and his crew re-did the two trims, and now they look like they're brand new. They used quality wood and sealant, and they also sealed the ten-foot-long stucco cracks with quality products. They used KM elastomeric sealant and then painted over the stucco crack repairs with paint. This is a professional team that showed up with three painters and one foreman overseeing the job. Unfortunately, when dealing with other companies, they often said a crew would show up, but it was only one or two people at most. While they were super friendly, it was distracting and didn't make up for the fact that they weren't as responsive as they claimed they would be. Either they took a long time to get back to me, ghosted me and never sent an estimate, or did an incredibly subpar job. Rodrigo and his crew were not like these subpar contractors. They communicated extensively about the estimate and sent courtesy reminders every few days, making it simple and easy to sign the estimate. Every step of the process was well-thought-out and smooth for the company and the customer (myself). I was frustrated about the trim causing more leaks into the sill and drywall after the trim co made a mess of it. Additionally, the stucco cracks exposed to the rainstorms created fear that water could get into the walls. I already had a water-stain leak in the small bedroom to deal with. RR Pro Painting helped so much to repair these two problems by just taking them on. Although they were smaller jobs, they took them on and treated them like big jobs. They have a great attitude toward work and didn't dismiss this smaller job. The smaller job led to bigger jobs and positive word-of-mouth advertising. I highly recommend RR Pro Painting for any paint job. I will be hiring them for all my future exterior and interior painting jobs because I'm extremely satisfied with their workmanship, and the quality of their work is outstanding! Unlike other contractors I found on CrackerJack, RR Pro Ptg didn't request that I give them a review immediately after the job was finished.
