The first sale went like a charm and my property was sold in a matter of 12 days, thanks to the scorching hot market in 2005. However, the second sale didn't go as smoothly as it languished for six months in a bitterly cold 2008 market before eventually finding a buyer. Simply put, you cannot predict what the market will look like when you put up your home for sale.
