"San Diego Quartz & Granite failed to complete our stone installation for months, causing disappointment and frustration. Thankfully, Manny stepped in and rescued the project by retrieving the slabs an... read mored finishing the installation. After unsuccessfully searching for low maintenance quartz, we opted for natural stone with movement. We faced the challenge of unattractive designs and streaks in the quartz, leading us to choose high maintenance natural stone. Manny proved to be a hardworking, kind-hearted individual who installed a full Namib Fantasy soft translucent quartzite for us. Obtained from Rainbow Stone in Miramar and Chula Vista, each of the four slabs cost under $1.2K. He also installed the full backsplash over LED sheets obtained from SuperBriteLed.com. To hold the sheets, he applied clear adhesive on the top, bottom, and in between the sheets, leaving vertical gap lines with no illumination. Matthew Serna (619-789-8038) installed the LED sheets, strips, transformers, dimmers and new light switches for $1.2K. He also provides sconces and chandeliers at reasonable prices. Manny completed the job by installing a full wall backsplash close to the window. Photos showcase the under-cabinet LED strip lighting, as well as a backlit full backsplash with one on and off for comparison. LED light sheets come with a 5-year warranty, so we will only turn on the backlight for special occasions. If the lights stop working, we will have to remove the backsplash and replace the LEDs. Regardless, having a backlit full backsplash is stunning. Unfortunately, the previous business damaged the sink stone portion, prompting us to purchase a 4th slab to replace it. With the remaining slab, Manny created a small translucent stone tabletop for us, which we plan to light up underneath. Oscar Cano expertly fabricated and powder-coated the metal table base with lockable wheels. To seal natural stone, use 511 impregnator from Home Depot. Ensure that the fabricator makes the electrical outlet holes wide enough to allow for average screws to secure the plate to the stone or quartz. Unfortunately, Home Depot and Lowes do not carry shorter silver screws to match the 3 face plates. read less"
