Description:

For those venturing into the homeschooling world for the first time or feel uneasy about how best to support their child's education at present, I offer my services. My name is Janel, and for nearly two decades, I have taught or tutored math and science. Although I specialize in middle school education, I have effectively worked with students from the 2nd grade to college level.

My teaching career began when I volunteered with the Peace Corps in East Africa, teaching high school-level chemistry. After returning to the US and becoming an aerospace engineer, I discovered my passion for teaching and have taught in various settings ever since. I am available for private or online tutoring and have experience with classroom instruction. I can assist with any math or science topic, including SAT/ACT preparation, and offer special rates for multiple students.
