Reverend Porter exceeded my expectations and surpassed them in every way imaginable. He was exceptional from the moment we met. While my husband's idea of a wedding ceremony was too short and too sweet for me, Reverend Porter came up with a customized plan that impressed me. He was incredibly organized and had a full outline that we could follow. After our initial meeting with him, I felt immense excitement, and I told my husband that we were going to have a real wedding! For me, the most important aspect of our wedding was to invite God. And Reverend Porter ensured that God was present throughout our ceremony. He referred to our family members as a village, which was something that resonated with me. A few years ago, I wrote in my Christmas cards expressing my gratitude for my family and friends being a part of my village, without disclosing it to him. He picked my favorite bible verse, First Corinthians, and explained it in such an inspiring way that touched everyone. He even included a few jokes, which my father-in-law loved. After the wedding, several of my guests came to me, expressing their gratitude and admiration for Reverend Porter's words, and thanking me for having him officiate our wedding. It was an answer to my prayers that God's presence would touch my family and friends through the ceremony, and Reverend Porter was the perfect conduit for it. If Reverend Porter had his own church, I would have become a devout member!
