Eric Johnson Music

Eric is an exceptional teacher. He possesses an amiable disposition, vast expertise and imparts knowledge with ease. Our weekly saxophone lessons comprise two sessions, one revolving around theory and scales, and the other in which Eric introduces me to new music or helps me with songs I am interested in learning. His teaching methodology has reignited my enthusiasm for playing music, and every day, I am driven to practice. Eric is a considerate and patient instructor who tailors lessons to my strengths and weaknesses. After six months of studying with him, I have learned basic tunes and can now improvise to my favourite songs. I wholeheartedly endorse him!

Learning to play the piano has always been a desire of mine, yet I perceived it as a complex process. However, with Eric as my instructor, the journey feels effortless. I eagerly anticipate further lessons.

Eric is amazing. He's relaxed, friendly, and a tremendously skilled and seasoned saxophonist. As an experienced saxophone player proficient in alto, tenor, and bari, I aspired to add the flute to my jazz and folk repertoire. Despite dedicating three months to watching YouTube tutorials and following Rubank's Intermediate Method, I found my flute sounds unsatisfactory and my technical progress stunted. However, only after three sessions with Eric, I was able to unlearn self-taught bad habits, and improve my intonation and articulation. Eric provided excellent practice tips that would not only benefit my flute but also enhance my saxophone and clarinet skills. He is an accommodating instructor, making every hour-long flute session enjoyable and fruitful.

Eric was fun and engaging, which my son found to be a great learning experience. He enjoyed the positive attitude as well as gaining knowledge from him. I also found Eric to be patient and a great teacher. Therefore, we highly recommend him as a sax teacher.
