About
Dear Prospective Client,As a professional bassist and band leader in the Bay Area, I am privileged to collaborate with some of the most talented musicians in Jazz, Latin, Soul, and Pop genres, performing on a regular basis in various restaurants and clubs throughout the city. A forthcoming musical event at SF Jazz in honor of Nina Simone is scheduled for Saturday, January 22nd.
We would love to offer our musical services at your event and can customize a band to suit your specific requirements, including special requests. All of us are seasoned professionals with many years of experience performing around the Bay Area and touring worldwide. Our repertoire ranges from Swing, Bossa Nova, and Latin to Funk, Pop, Blues, and Soul.
We are a versatile group and have established an incredible track record through this site. The cost of our services is determined by the number of musicians required and the duration of our performance.

Citizens Jazz was a lifesaver for my wedding day when there was an unexpected change in the venue. I was thrilled that they could perform for our ceremony on such short notice, and they arrived on time and delivered fantastic music. They even brought a portable amplifier to ensure our guests could hear the guitarist during the outdoor event. Our day was made all the more special thanks to their extraordinary contribution. For my military retirement social at the Travis AFB Heritage Center, I recruited Citizens Jazz as a trio. Being a 27-year veteran of the US Air Force, I was in search of some 40s and 50s jazz music to match the occasion. Although I had requested a bassist, guitarist, and saxophonist, the latter was unfortunately unavailable. However, the trombonist substitute rounded out the group perfectly. It was a fantastic event, and all my guests thoroughly enjoyed the music. Thank you, Citizens Jazz!

Working with Citizens Jazz was an absolute delight. Caroline promptly responded to all of our messages and collaborated with us to determine the perfect timing. Additionally, they went the extra mile and learned some theme songs for our event. On the day of, their punctuality was exceptional and their music was adored by all in attendance. In fact, their music was such a hit that we asked them to extend their performance beyond its initial duration. We would be thrilled to work with Citizens Jazz again in the future.
