As a gift, my boyfriend gave us a set of seven dance lessons, even though we had no experience in dancing before. Although nervous at first, our instructor Amelia made us feel very comfortable. Our main objective was to feel at ease dancing socially and have a good time while doing it. We were so delighted with the lessons we decided to buy two years' worth (going weekly). It's an enjoyable learning experience to do together, and we've turned it into a built-in date night. Amelia has been very patient and knowledgeable. When we have any queries about our dancing (e.g., why something feels awkward or how to move our hips), or the musical choices for songs, she always has a clear and enlightening response. She has tailored her teaching to our learning styles and found techniques that work for us. Currently, we are learning five different dances simultaneously, and, although still starting out, we have witnessed what Amelia can do with more experienced dancers - we're on our way! We've watched Amelia dance professionally, and she is extremely talented. It's apparent why teaching comes so naturally to her. My recommendation is that Amelia is an excellent dance instructor.
