About
Hello there! As a vocalist based in Chicago, I specialize in jazz and contemporary music and have over a decade of experience as a performer, bandleader, and arranger.While I am available for any type of event, I particularly enjoy performing during cocktail hours, smaller/DIY wedding receptions, wedding ceremonies, and marriage proposals. I take great pleasure in collaborating with clients to select songs and artists that will make their event truly one-of-a-kind and unforgettable.
In addition to holding a master's degree in jazz and being knowledgeable in over 200 jazz standards, I am also well-versed in 60's pop and motown, folk and country, and classic pop tunes. I have performed at several esteemed venues throughout Chicago, including The Allis at Soho House, The Drake, Palmer House, Union League Club, The Field Museum, Chicago Botanic Garden, Gibsons, Chicago Firehouse, and more.
My pricing varies depending on the time of year, day of the week, travel distance, instrumentation, and number of musicians requested. Please contact me directly for more information on pricing. While I am able to perform with a quintet (vocalist, guitar or piano, bass, drums, sax or trumpet), I typically perform in a duo or trio setting (vocalist with guitar and/or upright bass).

Kathryn and her guitarist are exceptional! Together, they crafted an outstanding cover of a song I requested that surpassed my expectations.
Planning a surprise proposal at Buckingham Fountain while living over five hours away presented challenges. Without any in-person meetings, Kathryn and I communicated extensively through text and email to discuss my needs for the event and the song. Kathryn responded promptly, attentively, and even suggested ideas that I hadn't considered.
On the day of the proposal, Kathryn went above and beyond by coordinating with a local photographer to ensure everything was perfect. Despite never having met before, they seamlessly worked together, and my fiancée had no idea they were part of the surprise until they started playing my requested song.
The proposal was a success, and we are beyond thrilled. Kathryn's exceptional attention to customer needs, professionalism, and unparalleled musical talent makes her a true gem. 5 stars do not do justice to her outstanding service. Thank you so much!

Kathryn and her skilled band were an absolute pleasure to collaborate with. They provided a stunning soundtrack for my daughter's wedding, making it an unforgettable night. Initially, finding musicians with suitable skills, interests, equipment, and budget for our medium-sized venue in Chicago was challenging. However, Kathryn exceeded our expectations by fulfilling every request with professionalism, attention to detail, and genuine interest in delivering an exceptional event.
