My weekly lessons with Erik are something I look forward to, unlike any other hobby lessons I've had in the past. Along with being a highly skilled drummer who teaches advanced drumming techniques for several years, Erik also makes learning enjoyable and empowering for beginners and experienced drummers alike. He has a structured teaching style and provides clear practice lists without overwhelming his students. Erik is great at breaking down complex concepts into smaller, achievable steps. To make progress, practice at least 2-3 times a week following our 45-minute lessons. I am incredibly grateful to have Erik as my teacher. He has helped me develop a love for drumming, introduced me to amazing artists, and given me an even deeper respect for all drummers. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for drum lessons.

For around 8 years now, I've been under the tutelage of Erik, receiving drumset and percussion lessons. I began this venture in my 30s and was at a point where I was incapable of striking a drum consistently. However, with Erik's exceptional instruction, I have been able to elevate my percussion skills to the level of playing with several community orchestras, and even landing the occasional paid gig. Despite being occupied with other endeavors, I remain steadfast in my dedication to improving my skills through homework and lessons. Erik's teaching method is well-defined and encompasses a wide range of styles and tricks of the trade that he imparts skillfully. He also fosters a personal connection with his learners and takes great pleasure in watching recordings of them playing with bands, providing guidance and feedback for improvement.

For a few months, my son has been receiving drum lessons from Erik. He is extremely experienced and tolerant. My son always anticipates his weekly sessions and has made a substantial progress in his drumming abilities. Without hesitation, I would suggest Erik to anyone who wants to learn the drums.

In just two minutes, Erik identified my weaknesses, highlighted my strengths, and motivated me to become the jazz player and sheet music reader I've always aspired to be.
