I was born and raised in Ireland but now reside in the greater Detroit area since moving to MI in my early twenties back in 2003. For more than a decade, I've served as a pastor at various churches spanning from urban to rural areas. My involvement in social justice issues and community development has kept me busy with mentoring youth groups, providing outreach to the homeless, co-founding and directing an anti-human trafficking group, and serving on other boards and leadership teams. Additionally, I co-founded and coached a local rugby team here in MI after playing the sport in my homeland.
Despite the gradual fading of my brogue accent, my powerfully red beard will leave you with no uncertainty about my Celtic roots. I like to describe myself as an oversized leprechaun who knows firsthand that it rains all year in Ireland while the grass stays green, and rainbows are a usual sight.
Officiating weddings gives me great joy, and I'd be an excellent choice considering my passion for helping people, sincerity, and humor. Witnessing two individuals find each other and make the lifelong commitment to build a life together is an honor. It's a privilege to be entrusted with officiating this union, and it has been one of my favorite parts of serving in ministry.
Please note that an additional travel fee may be added to venues outside of the initial distance radius, and an accommodation fee may be applied if the venue is far away and/or if you need me to attend both the rehearsal and ceremony. Lastly, a non-refundable deposit is necessary to book your preferred date, although it can be transferred to another available date if necessary.

Our wedding was made all the more special thanks to Stephen's amazing services! With his lighthearted approach, he orchestrated the perfect ceremony for us, leaving us elated. My Irish roots meant a lot to me, and the Irish Blessing (narrated in both Irish and English) was the highlight, leaving me nearly invisible behind tears of joy 😂.
