Unlike a large music school with multiple instructors, we pride ourselves on building personal relationships with each of our students. As a full-time professional teacher, I am dedicated to meeting and exceeding your learning expectations without missing lessons for performances or passing you off to another teacher.
My home studio is equipped with a wide range of learning tools, including books, DVDs, audio equipment, effects pedals, and much more. Scheduling is easy and flexible and can be done online. As a teacher, I take great pleasure in helping my students discover their passion for the guitar. It gives me immense joy to witness those "goose-bump" moments when a student plays beautifully and exudes the joy of learning. Over the years, I have successfully taught students as young as seven to become lifelong guitar players, guided teens through college auditions, and helped students reignite lost musical love after years of stagnation.

For approximately 10 months, I have been taking guitar lessons with Chris, and I'm extremely pleased with the strides I have made. A couple of years ago, while working in Omaha, I decided to learn the guitar and took lessons for a year. Though I learned the basics, I developed some unfavorable habits. After relocating to Austin and staying there for six months, I decided to resume my guitar lessons. I discovered Chris on CrackerJack and I'm grateful for that. In contrast to employing an unchanging regimen for every student, Chris customizes his lessons to fit my goals and aspirations. Given that I'm 53 and have varied musical inclinations and aspirations from his other younger students, this method suits me well. Moreover, Chris comprehends my learning style and assigns an appropriate amount each week to challenge me without provoking frustration. However, due to the limitations of work and traveling, I have restricted time to practice sometimes. Nevertheless, my progress since studying with Chris is remarkable.
