To move into my new apartment across town on a tight timeline, I chose Big Guy Movers as the most affordable option available for a 9/1 move in Boston, during the most stressful and expensive time of the year. Though I was apprehensive about hiring movers for the first time, conducting my research and speaking to them on the phone helped me feel more confident in my decision. Despite a slight delay in their arrival, likely because it was the busiest moving day of the year, the movers were friendly and efficient in packing and transporting my belongings. The truck was much larger than necessary for my one-room worth of possessions, making a short stop for gas en route to my new address. In just under two hours, everything was moved in without much hassle. My one issue was that the mattress was not wrapped for protection, resulting in significant dirt stains. However, after contacting the company, they provided partial reimbursement for the damage. In the future, I'll wrap my mattress myself to avoid any mess. Overall, the rest of my things arrived safely and the experience was stress-free, making it an excellent option for anyone moving on a budget over a short distance.
