I provide a safe and relaxed environment for my students to unwind while pursuing their passion. With 29 years of teaching experience, certification, insurance, and knowledge in Equine Science and management, I guarantee a positive experience. My horses range from beginner to advanced levels and are incredibly kind. I specialize in natural horsemanship methods that apply to all levels of riders, including barrel racing.
My passion is to teach my students as much as they can handle physically and mentally. If trail riding lessons are what they aim to achieve, I can provide that as well. I work with students on their own horses and offer limited boarding if stalls are available. If interested, I can provide hauling services to barrel racing competitions and time only's.
Students will learn how to safely approach and move around the horse with confidence, including grooming, saddling, and untacking. If desired, they can also learn to clean stalls under supervision. I have students aged from four to seventy-five years old. My fee is $75 per hour, and I will do my best to accommodate each individual schedule. During summer months, lessons start early and resume in the evening, with a lit arena available for extended learning time.
What I love the most is seeing the positive effects that my kind and intelligent horses have on people's emotions, young and old. I ask the students about their goals and desires to provide them with the necessary guidance and encouragement to achieve their dreams. No matter the level of the student, my job is to provide safe, encouraging, and patient knowledge.

Possible rewrite: If it were possible, I'd give Tanya 10 stars. I've been taking riding lessons with her for almost 2 years, and I've learned so much in such a short time. Tanya's instruction is superb, and what sets her apart is not just the lesson time, but also the opportunity to learn all aspects of horsemanship at her property. She's incredibly patient and can teach riders of all levels and ages, thanks to her amazing horses. The lessons can last up to 2.5 hours and leave you with a sense of achievement. Riding at T Star is an experience, not just a lesson. Tanya's vast knowledge and passion make everyone happy. I've seen her teach riders at all levels and everyone has a great time. The initial lesson we had with Tanya was a huge hit! Not only is she well-versed, but her instructions are geared towards children, without oversimplifying important concepts necessary to ride. We were delighted that she even went over preparing and saddling, aside from the riding techniques. Our children are already inquiring about the next session!
